Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. She hosts the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity with her signature spikey blonde hair and exuberant personality, shares easy to learn techniques and eliminates intimidation of restaurants dishes on her TV show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell has worked for a time in New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary tradition and its landscape. Also, she was a contestant on Iron Chef America on Food Network. Early on, while growing up in the upstate area of New York, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. She pursued her passion for the restaurant industry by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America following her graduation in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic learning experience. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was a fantastic place to study. After graduating of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and Chef Burrell took a full year in Italy studying and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin rating in Tuscany. Her time spent in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate the Italian tradition and philosophy, and has made an impression on her perception of food. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens children who are facing obstacles and is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she is an advocate for children with diabetes and awareness. As an inspirational speaker, she is on the road to share her passion for cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef. Anne, throughout her entire culinary journey has stated that it's an honor to be able to share her passion for the food industry with people.
